Map Club – North region
The first this season of a series of evening events across our region to socialise and practice our map-reading skills over a pub meal.
We will be looking at maps and challenges from Brockhurst TREC held by Wessex TREC in May 2023. Bring along your maps if you competed. If you didn’t compete, we will have blanks and mother maps there on the evening, for you to have a go at copying routes and asking any questions you have.
Bring your drawing pens, compass, romer, and head torch.
The idea behind Map Club is that we can all learn from each other in a social setting. There is no formal tuition, but an opportunity to chat to fellow Treccies and find out how they went about a particular route and to share knowledge.
There is no obligation to eat, but if you want to, please message Helen Curley with your menu choices. In order to arrange tables, please let us know if you are coming, even if you are not eating. Menu attached below.
Map Club is primarily for Wessex members, but we may admit interlopers from other clubs. If you are prepared to travel out of your area, we are happy to have you! Details of future map clubs are on the Wessex website.
